Hi,

Sent you an e-mail but you probably weren't able to answer since our e-mail service has been having problems.........hopefully that will be fixed soon.

I found my password for this site so decided to go ahead and post to you on here.

I am doing some research on Royston in Nodaway County MO and have your Thomas Royston listed on an 1860 census index with his family.

I'd be glad to send you the info if you need it.

I'm trying to track down a couple questions on the Roystons in relation to another family I'm researching.

Do you know if Richard Royston, father of Thomas was in business with a Jonathan Bassford. There was a firm by that name in Sweet Home (12 miles east of Maryville) in the late 1860's?

Also, I came across a posting for a marriage in 1840 in Buchanan County MO, which is close by, for an Elizabeth "Joicey" Roilston m. Marcellus Munkres.

Marcellus had a relative living near Sweet Home (Melvin Munkres). The posting I saw, had no info on Elizabeth Roilston and I haven't been able to find anything on that surname so got to thinking maybe it was actually a Royston/Roiston as I've seen both spellings in Nodaway but not Roilston.

Just wondered if you knew anything about a connection between Roysten & Munkres?

Thanks,

Karren A.
