From the Pension applications of Philip D Round and his widow, Malona R. Round Philip D. Round was son of Andrew Round and Elizabeth Drollinger, although this is not stated in the pension papers. Born Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, 13 July 1810. Enlisted 21 Jul 1832 at Danville, Illinois in Captain Brown's Company of US Mounted Rangers. 6 feet, blue eyes, light hair, fair complexion. Discharge 1 May 1833 in Helena, Wisconson. Married Mary E. Ferrill, 28 Mar 1843 in Dodgeville, Wis. she died 10 Aug 1850 of cholera. He married Malona R. Chadwick, 7 Oct 1852 in Boydtown, Crawford County, Wisconsin. Lived in Dodgeville, Iowa County, Wisconsin to Sep 1854, then in Grant County, Wisconsin to Apr 1868, then in Worth County, Missouri, where he died 9 Jan 1902.
