Dear friends,

I have tried in vain to find the following in a 1920 census. I know their dates and places of birth, dates and places of death. I know when they came from Quebec to Maine. I know that they lived in Hew Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts and one in New York. Maybe someone can find where they were in 1920. I will list their variety of names they were known by at various times in their lives.

The first is my father: (he was told he was born in Flint, Michigan, but was born in St-Paul-des Capucins,Les Mechins, Quebec, Canada in 1909.) died in 1980 Maine
Roland Paul Joseph Lagasse (Lagace)
He lived in Maine, Massachusetts, and New York

My father's father: born in St Flavien, Quebec 1885, died in 1926 Massachusetts
Joseph Gaudias Lagasse (Lagace)
He lived in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts

My father's mother: born in St-Paul-des Capuchins, Les Mechins, Quebec, Canada 1891, died in 1965 Maine
Agnes Louise Marie Albertine Anisse Ross
Her last name was Lagasse (Lagace) from 1909 (married in New Hampshire) until about 1915.(divorce around this time)
From Dec 1917 until her death last name was Stackpole.
Married a Frank Stackpole in Maine who died before 1955.
Lived in New Hampshire, Maine, and possibly Massachusetts

I can not find my father nor his mother nor his father in any 1920 census. The two men would have been Lagasse (Lagace) my grandmother would have been Stackpole
Her husband is in the 1920 census living in Biddeford, Maine with his parents. It states he was married, but his wife, my grandmother, is not listed on the census.

I can not find my father's mother in any 1930 census nor her husband Frank Stackpole (if he was still living)

Sincerely,
Peter
