Your ancestor's Canadian documents are holding his place of birth, which you need to proceed with the research.
Pavale sound like Paul/Pawel/Pavel.
Somehow ANDONEY is not corresponding with what I think is Romanian surname.

POLNICKY as well does not correspond with being in proper Polish. CKI and SKI would be Polish spelling but in America, anything goes. I take that English was already their common language when they married? How else did they communicate?
