Need proof that Gustavus Vaca Rich was a son of Samuel Rich and Mary Polly Bailey. Gustavus was born June 4, 1810 in Shoreham, VT. Have tried uncessfully to locate a birth or death record for him. Have obit from Canton NY showing his date of death was definitely April 25, 1892, but no mention of his parents' names. Does anyone have a birth/death record or old Bible record giving proof of parentage? Need this for DAR application. Thanks.
