Thank you Joan so much. Definitely gives more background on Effie. Maybe can then find alink to the other RICE family as well. Again, thank you so much. I see that there appears to be 2 robert petree's. one born 1896 and one born 1897. both have parents as James and Mary. RObert PETREE seems to be the one who died in 1925 oct 19 abilene texas. and is on census with wife effie, so must be he. Possibly the other researcher who compiled this data base might have confused the 2 robert's?? I will forward a copy of your posting to my brother in law and maybe he can back track who gave him the information. again, thank you so much. Pat cw
