Looks like you have incorrect dates of birth and death for Patrick. Part of the home is readable in 1900 and that is where I saw Benjamin Cassidy-Nephew. I went back to the 1880 to find out who his father (Patrick's brother) was. Also you will notice a Bridget Mulham in the home of Patrick in 1880 as a sister-in-law. She would be the sister of Patrick's wife or she was the widow of a brother of Patrick's wife. I'm not sure which because the 1880 census lists Bridget as single, but the 1900 lists her as widowed. Bridget is listed as having immigrated in 1850 on the 1900 census. She died 1907 and is in the same cemetery as the rest of the family. The rest of the family may have come over at the same time. I saw Patrick's wife's maiden name as Mulheim, Mulheren, Malheron, Mulhern on different records. Mary T. Cassidy Ryan died 16 Dec 1941 and is buried in the same cemetery as the Cassidys above (NK026 ELMGROVE CEMETERY, NORTH KINGSTOWN, TOWER HILL ROAD of tele. pole # 1685 ) If I were you I would send to the RI state archives for some death records. Maybe they will give the area of Ireland where some of these people were born. You can request up to two records at a time. Send your request with a SASE to RI State Archives 337 Westminster St Providence, RI 02903. Send no money up front- they will bill you. They only charge 15 cents per copy. It's the best deal going in genealogy. Give them names, approximate dates (you have the exact dates for Margaret & Patick from the cemetery index above)and any other helpful information. A certified copy is $2, but I usually get the non-certified copy at 15 cents. Specify which one you want in your request. You should be able to make good headway with this info. Patty |
