Donít Know if you can help me. I am researching the family history, and have came across my granddads WWII info. Listed as next of kin is FLORENCE SINCLAIR. We have know her address at one stage to be:
2 Poplar Cottages, Moulton, Northants, England
We find it a coincidence that he is Scottish. And the Sinclairís are linked to the Scotts.
Here is a bit more info:
Date of Birth
3 Jun 1923
Place of Birth
Date of Enlistment
2 Jul 1945
Locality on Enlistment
Place of Enlistment
Next of Kin
Date of Discharge
24 Dec 1946
Posting at Discharge
REINFT TRG BN (JW)
WW2 Honours and Gallantry
None for display
Prisoner of War
On Wallace's wedding certificate, it showed no hyphened surname, spelt like this: Wallis Scott Rattray, and his place of birth as Dundee; but on his war info it is shown as above.
We have also found the following info:
He had 2 brothers named
Eric Scott-Rattray DOB: April 1922 ROTHERHAM, ENGLAND
Gordon J Scott-Rattray DOB: August 1927 ROTHERHAM, ENGLAND
Their fathers name was John Wallace Rattray or possibly Wallace Eric Scott Rattray, and their mothers name was Margaret Emma Riley
We think that Florence Sinclair was Wallace's Aunt who raised him in Canada???
If you have any other info relating to this, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!
