Hi!
I am always glad to find a cousin! ;) Have you ever been in contact with any Ragon's in Arkansas? If not, you may not know that there is a Ragon Reunion every fall at a church at a place called Morrison's Bluff. My great, great grandma Ragon gave the land for the Catholic church to be built there. The family cemetary is way out in a cow pasture behind the cemetary. I would venture to say that not many people besides family even know that the cemetary is out there because you have to climb over fences and go across pasture to get to it. It has a rock wall built around it and the rock wall was purposely built on top of some bushwackers grave. The bushwackers killed I believe it was Susannah Ragon Hixon (I believe her name was Susannah) I don't have my info in front of me. Anyway the bushwackers killed her husband in front of her and her children. The women in the family took revenge and killed them and buried them facing north and south in disrespect then they build a rock wall on top of their graves many years later. I pieced that story together from a few different sources but it was validated by the eldest member of my family who is in her 90's. I noticed that you were from Hixson TN, was that town by chance named after the Hixon family that married into the Ragon family? I would love to swap any information with you!
Sincerely,
Susan Hannan
