I am looking for help with a less well documented line of the Derwentwater Radcliffes. Thomas Radcliffe, the heir of Nicholas who married Elizabeth Derwentwater, married Margaret Parr. His son Edward was the founder of the Dilston/Earl of Derwentwater line. Other sons, John and Richard have their histories well researched. But I am descended from another son Nicholas b 1456 who married Isabel, widow of Thomas Musgrave. They had one son James (about 1487 - 1556) who married unknown and had (known) children - Gawen (1530 - 1616); Cuthbert; Edward (b 1543). Gawen married Winifred Radcliffe about 1562 and had a large family who continued to fight for a claim on the estates of Derwentwater. Thier son James b 1575 married Alice Wilsonne. And their son Francis b 1603 who studied at Queens College Oxford before moving to Belfast is the ancestor of my Irish Radcliffs (no E). Can anyone help with any more dates or details - these are all I have? Many thanks
