Is it possible for someone to get a look at the Brown / Stalnaker family Bible? Melissa Ratcliffe has come up with the theory that Daniel Stephen Radcliff was actually named Daniel Stanton Radcliff, after a famous Quaker preacher. This was a common practice at that time if we remember all the Lorenzo Dow babies named after another famous preacher. A meeting was held at the home of Richard Ratcliff and attended by Daniel Stanton who preached against slavery. The last I heard, the Bible was in the possession of Winnifred Brown of West Virginia. I don't know where it is now. If Stanton has been misread as Stephen, it will tell us a great deal. Gary
