Hi Jennifer. I am from Lawson Race's line, son of Moses and Mary Race. I haven't researched the family very closely yet, but have some info. I noticed some of yours was different than mine. You probably have the right info because I haven't gone into the records to verify yet. Thought I would write down the info. I have, in case it gave you any clues. I live in Pendleton Co. Ky. right down the road from where the Race family used to live before they scattered to the four winds. Moses Race - married Mary Tomlin, dau. of John Michael Tomlin of Culpepper Co. Virginia. Records I've found state that Moses Race made tomb stones along with farming for a living. Children of Moses and Mary: 1.Lawson Race - married Pheobe Hawkins. Had 11 children, one of them being my great great grandmother Sarah Jane Race who married Stephen Brittenham. 2. Delila Race - married Benjamin Clemons. Moved to Illinois. 3. Maxa Race - married Charles Eggleston, moved to Kansas around 1865. 4. Joana Race - married William Griffin. 5. Missouri Race - married Francis Devlin. 6. James Enos Race - died in Texas. 7. Icephene Race - married David Stephens 8. Monora Race 9. Mary Race 10. John Race - married Martha Shively in 1841. 11. Evaline Race - married John Dougherty. 12. William Race 13. Elizabeth Race 14. Moses Race Jr. 15. Ebenezer Race 16. Abigail Race - married Jared Hawkins. 17. Hiram Race - served in Union Army, Civil War. 18. Michael Race - moved to Illinois in 1852. 19. Alexander Race - went by the nickname "Sandy". Married Margaret Ashcraft. Buried at Knoxville, Pendleton Co. Ky. I got most of this information at the Pendleton County library, Falmouth, Ky.
