Hello. Im trying to research Nochistlan. My grandmother was born there in La Labor around 1920. She now lives in San Diego California. Her name is Maria del Socorro Macias Rodriguez. Im basically just trying to find out more about the area as I would like to visit sometime soon. She told me a story about the house she grew up in being a small chapel of some kind called El Senor de Ausente and that mass was held there. The house was originally that of Maria Guiyerma Mercado and Justo Rodriguez who were married in 1847. Well here are more surnames: Macias, Rodriguez, Barba, Sandoval, Mercado, Jauregui, Aguirre. So if anyone out there would like to start a regular conversation with me I would greatly be intrested.
