My ggrandfather came from Germany to somewhere around the Boston area to visit relatives. He stayed in the US and became a naturalized citizen in 1865 in Ark. His name is Charles Quade. Do you have one in your line? We can find no relatives of his anywhere. Only his direct family ...wife Mary Winchester Quade, dau.Flora and Clara Aldine and my grandfather Dan Quada (somehow our "e" got changed to an "a".)Charles was Quade (some records say "Qwaddy") Flora was Quadie and I'm not sure of Clara.One family story says Charles married an Indian but when she died the children went with her people. That was before he met Mary and had his family in Ark. Don't know if there would be any record of an Indian marriage. If anything matches please let me know. Thanks. Cynthia Quada Koontz scak@juno.com
