Dear Margaret, Sorry, another Petworth-Purser-person here :-) My great grandmother was (I believe) Ella Purser, born 1896 in Petworth. She seems to have been variously known as Ella, Zella Vera, Zella Lilian She married my Great grandfather, Percy Dodsworth Brown, during WW1: We believe they met while she was a nurse and he was in the Royal Engineers. I have a birth certificate for her son (my Grandfather) who was born 1920 in Salisbury (Wiltshire). I wondered if you were still in contact with the lady from British Columbia Canada, or perhaps if you knew any more about the Petworth family? - I understand they are not your ancestors, so please feel no obligation to get in touch :-) Thanks for your interest Thirzah
