Hello,
In reply to the message posted by you in early 2002, you had a reply from Bob Allison, in which he made several recomendations, did you follow any up? I would just like to inform you of the information he gave you that he found in the 1901 census. Of a family where the mother was aged 30 and her name was Constance, and the children he listed were an Alice aged 7 and a William aged 2, what I can tell you in regards to this family is that they are Bedfordshire folk and have been for several generations as to there whereabouts now to me they are unknown, I know not if this is your Alice but if it is I can supply you with more information on the ancestors of this particular Alice. As for the place "Petworth" this is in Sussex, and has no bearing on the above mentioned people.
Purser's did also live in and around Petworth as well and have often been confused with the "Bedford" Purser's. I once had correspondence with a lady in British Columbia Canada who was working on the Petworth "Purser's" for her grandchildrens paternal side. Please feel free to contact me! I am a descendant of Bedfordshire Purser's!
Moments from Margaret.
