Gerri, now I'm really confused, there is no Richard in the 5 children of Mosses and Massey, besides the dates are all wrong, Moses, son of John, would only have been 12 years old, and Massey a mere girl, when Richard was born. If you go Moses> John> Richard, then it all works out.Now Robert Purser, grandfather of John Purser, had a brother named Richard, but he died before 1790---doesn't show in the first census. That pretty much takes care of the known Richard Pursers.
