James Purnell Md 6 Jan 1812 To Ann Bevin or Beavan in Trowbridge, was my ancestor. Children of this marriage with their christening dates, as far as we can determine, were Shem (1813), Elizabeth (1816), Emma (1820), James (1820) and Shem Bevin *(1822). Ann died in 1825. James married Catherine Butcher 29 Jul 1826 in Trowbridge. Children of this marriage with their christening dates, as far as we can determine, were Henry (1830), Luke (1830), Louisa (1838), and Jacob (1838). *this is my line Although I do not have a tie to Sarah Purnell or her daughter Matilda, I would like to find the birth record for James Purnell. His birth year would be approximately 1789.
