Greg asked me to post this a while back. As I've heard my family tell the story, my GGGrandparents Christian Precht and Ana Bollmann lived in Leipzig, Germany. They had two boys: Heinrich (my GGrandfather b. 1870s?) and Karl. A girl broke Karl's heart, and he decided to move far away. Heinrich joined his brother and they both emigrated to Chile, South America. Karl stayed in Chile, where I believe there are Prechts to this day. Heinrich moved on to Bolivia and was involved in the rubber trade. He married Filomena Barron. They had three daughters: Graciela (my grandma Chela b. 1902), Rosita and Enrique. Graciela met Jose Zuazo. Heinrich said, "nacht Chela, Jose is not for you". Graciela married him anyway and lived a stoich life. They had three children: Rosario (my mom), Gloria, and Jose (died as a child). My mom and Gloria live in Santa Cruz Bolivia. They would be absolutely thrilled to learn about their German ancestry, and so would I.
