Thank you for your e-mail. At the present time I have very little information at my fingertips about the Poyner family available, but my nephew who is a lecturer at Birmingham University has loads of information and also my late husbands brothers have a lot of information. This I will endeavour to obtain and e-mail as soon as possible. I do know that my father-in-law who died in 1974 aged 93, had been a farmer in a very small way, just outside Ludlow, Shropshire in an area known as Clee Hill, and after he moved to Highley, Shropshire he was in charge on the pit ponies at Highley Colliery until his retirement, and he worked much longer than 65 years of age. Please keep in touch, and i will try to find out as much as I can. Gill Poyner |
