I am trying to trace my Irish connections. My Great Uncle James O'Brien Power died in WWII in 1940. His father (possibly also James) was living in Bedford,UK with his second wife, having met her on the boat back from India and married in Rome. His first wife Teresa Singleton died in childbirth. I'm not sure if he was born in India but his father, my Great,great,great grandfather was from Clonmel Tipperary. It's not known what the connection with O'Brien was, but the first male child always had O'Brien in their name. Can anyone help?
