Many, many years ago (before the internet), my now deceased mother did extensive research on my father's Portwood ancestors. I have all of her notes and genealogy charts. I believe she traced the ancestors back to a Page Portwood who lived in Currituck, North Carolina in the 1700's. If anyone out there is interested in what I have, please let me know and I will be glad to share the information.
