I know that this post is old, but for future web searches for Crespin...

He was born in Chilili, NM- 25 Jan 1888 to Maria Joseph Paul (b. abt 1855) and Maria De Los Angleles Garcia (b. 1863).

Maria Joseph Paul was born to Joseph Paul, France (b. abt 1826-1862) and Maria Josepha Padilla (1836-1862).

Crespin married Margarita Gutierrez abt 1908, and had 3 children- Libradita (1909), Faustin(o) (15 Jan 1910), and Marcario (1916).

Crespin died before 1920 as the census for that year shows his wife, Margarita (or Margrita) as a (mispelled) Gutierrez, along with these 3 children, whose names are also unfortunately misspelled, both first and last.

This 1920 census does list her as "M" married, and it is possible that Crespin died after 1920, but he is absent from this home and census. Margarita is listed as the head of household, and she and the children are living amongst her relatives.

Margarita went on to marry Crespin Mora about or before 1921, as their first child was born in 1922.

The current Pohl surname for this family, was documented in the US Census' as "Paul", "Pall" or "Pule" from 1870 to 1930. In Church records, sometimes as "Pol", "Paul". But the carpenter from France is the originator, and his first recorded census is in 1850, in Peralta, New Mexico.
