Al, Alvin Hiram Pitcher was born 12 Aug 1879 Towanda, Bradford Co., PA. He married a Josephine Margaret Reedy, lived in Owego, Tioga Co., NY., died about 1959 in Owego. He was a noted contortionist who was with Ringling, Hagenbeck-Wallace shows, vaudeville etc.
I know his father was John Pitcher from 1900 census for Athens, Bradford Co., PA, father born Feb 1852, father, mother born CT. There where 4 Pitcher brothers who came to Bradford Co., around 1825 from Conn. I have records of the families and children on down, some to current times. I can not connect Al,s father with any of them. One problem, the number of John,s in all the families. The possibility of another Pitcher line for this area is remote. I would like to be able to connect him to the family tree.
