Hello. I'm looking for information on Alexander Pitcher, born around 1835 in New York state, and lived in Columbia, Greene, and Ulster counties. He appears on the 1860, 1870, 1880, and 1900 NY censuses. Wife Delia Comfort, then widowed, then married her twin Julia Comfort. Children are George, Anna, Benjamin (with Delia) and Alice (with Julia).

Note well that this is NOT the sale Alexander Pitcher who shows up in Northville, Lasalle, Illinois in the 1850 census (that is a different Alex Pitcher who never returned to NY).

I'm trying to trace this line of the Pitcher family for my girlfriend and I've reached a dead end at Alexander. So, I'm especially interested in finding out who Alexander's parents were. Any help would be appreciated.
