Hi John, I recently found a marriage notice in the Salem Gazette 11 April 1823 for Anna Merrit and Nathaniel Pitcher. "In Freedom, Dutchess County, N. Y. on the 14th ult. Gen. Nathaniel Pitcher, of Sandy Hill, a member of the late Congress, to Miss Anna B. Merrit, of the former place."
