I have recently found Edward Pitcher (born 1839 in England) and his son, Edward Pitcher, Jr., born about Aug 1859 in Brooklyn, NY) in the 1860 and 1900 census. (1860 census, Brooklyn, Kings Co., NY 7th Ward, page 181 and 1900 census, also Brooklyn, ED 73, image 5.)
The first showed Edward as a fish hook maker, and the 1900 as "fishing tackle", residing ar 132 Franklin Ave., Brooklyn. His spouse was a Mary A. (maiden name not found as yet), who was not listed in the 1900 census. His daughter, Mary Esther Pitcher, married a Francis Joseph Clark (shown as "Clarke" in the 1900 census). Francis and Mary were parents of Helen Imelda Clark, who married my maternal grandfather (his second marriage) in 1919/1920, probably in the Philippines.
hope this helps your chain.
