Is this the same Philips family that resided in Nashville, TN, Davidson County? My husband's family springs from the marriage of Josiah Frederick Williams, son of Elisha Williams and Sarah Josey. Josiah married Margaret Thomas Philps, daughter of Joseph D. Philips and Milberry Horn. Joseph D. Philips was the son of Capt. Joseph Philips and Sarah Exum. His grandfather is John Philips and Ann Unknown of Surry VA, I believe. John was born 1708, in Surry, VA. This would be before the date others state the Philps family arrived in Cheste, PA. Is this the same Philips family? Can you sort this out? Thanks, Gerri Williams
