I don't know if you are still interested but you can find out a lot without a trip to the Philippines. You need to find the baptism records for all your aunts and uncles. The "village" that Nash was from might be in those records. Another source might be your great grandmother. In the late sixties when I knew your family, she lived with them. Your grandfather might have put her village on her death records. Another thing would be to find immigration records and ship's lists. FamilySearch is transcribing more of those lists every day. I don't remember if Nash ever served in the Armed Services during WWII. If he did I never heard him speak of it. If he did, he might have gotten his citizenship through that service. You need to fill in all the records you can find in the US before you look at the Philippines.
