My 3rd great grandfather was William Jackson Perry, born in 1791 died in 1870 in Anson County NC. I have read in several locations that William was a descendent of Jeremiah Perry of Cascine Plantation fame. In one account, a directory of prominent citizens of Chesterfield County SC published in the mid 20th century, Dr. William Perry (a distant cousin) was cited as the grandson of William Jackson Perry and great grandson of Jeremiah Perry who was killed @ 1777 while serving in the continental army under White Horse Harry Lee. But the numbers just don’t work as Jeremiah was killed before William was born. I am trying to find William Jackson Perry's parents. I have traced two generations down from Jeremiah and his 6 brothers who moved to NC from Virginia @ 1746. Can anyone help!!!
