Edward Thompson, founder of the village of Hokah, Minnesota, in 1850, died in Minneapolis this morning at the age of 82 years. He was a brother of Clark W. Thompson who built the Southern Minnesota Rail Road and was at one time connected with the road himself. He was the father of the first wife of Superintendent E. C. Perkins of the Southern Minnesota Rail Road. Of late years he has been residing with a son in Minneapolis. The funeral will be held either Saturday or Sunday at Hokah, where burial will take place.
