Hi Russell, No unfortunatly i don't know what the initials stand for for either A.E or V.H Pearson.I have searched the BMD to try and find their birth but just can't find it. I found their fathers 'deaseased estate' file which is actually at the Pietermaritzburg repository, so maybe their name may be on that file, but as i'm in England i can't get the file to see if their is any extra info attatched to it. I have been told i can contact the repository to ask for the death notice, but was told this could take months as they are under staffed apparently. It's funny you should mention about the phone book, i had a look on the internet for phonebooks in South Africa, and i found a A.E Pearson living at Musgrave road in Durban, Kwazulu-Natal, and i also found a V H Pearson living in the same area on the same road! so not sure if that is a connection? Thanks for your reply, and sorry i couldn't give you the childrens first names, i'm going to go and have another look at the BMD's see if i can find it again. Alison. |
