Looking for information on Wilhelm also known as William Schmitt (or Schmidt) and his wife Johanna Pauley (or Pauli). Have confirmed their names but quetioning their children and need some help. Wilhelm was born in 1796 in Germany died 20 April 1870. Johanna Sophia born 19 May 1806 in Germany and died 21 December 1907. Both died in Tipton, Missouri. I have confirmed 5 children (Johanna Sophia, William F Jr, Andrew William, John and Louisa). According to a article published in the newpaper shortly after Johanna's death she was proceeded by a son and daughter, indicating there was six children. This proceeded son is my missing link to the family tree. All other children, except Louisa, died after Johanna. Does anyone know who this "missing" child is? One online web-tree indicated that his name is John C born 5 June 1839 and died 5 Aug 1868. Immigration list only show 3 children. Wilhelm and Johanna came to the US in 1850 with Louisa, Sophia, and William Jr.
