Hi Tammy,
I don't think I am related right now. My maiden name is Patton so I was looking hard to see if I could get the pieces to match. But I could find Nancy Patton's but could not get the maiden name to come up. I even searched old census to see if the Patton family had a Nancy or Elisha Gatchel or Gitchell to come up. No luck. I found a family tree with more information on it for John and Ann and listed the children Nancy and Elizabeth with their husbands info. I did find an 1820 Census with John and wife Ann Mitchell. It listed 1 male 10-15 years old, 1 female 10-15 years, 1 male over 45 and 1 female over 45. Ann would be 73 years old. So did they have grandchildren living with them at that time. Also 1830 census lists Ann Mitchll with 1 female 5-9 years, 1 female 20-29 (Nancy?) 1 female 80-89 would be Ann. I did find census for Eli Gatchel (Grandson to John and Ann) for years 1850 living in Venice, Senica, OH with wife Ruth, 1860 living in Cedar Creek, Allen, Indiana with wife Ruth and children John, Mary and William and Eli is listed as farmer and in 1870 living in Cedar Creek, Allen, Indiana living with daughter Mary and her husband Edward Linegar and child Elli Linegar 7 months old. A lot of times siblings stayed together so maybe we should look for a Patton living close by Eli Gatchel. If I find something I will get back to you. Happy hunting. Barb
