Hi June, this must be your lucky day.I can tell you lots about Catherine care of another relative Jan Tremaine. You can contact her at jantrem@ozwebip.com.au .Catherine Emeline McIntosh,b.1842,Williams River,Raymond Terrace, NSW.Father Peter Campbell McIntosh,Mother Margaret Johnston. They arrived as free settlers from Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland in 1838 onthe Lady Kenneway. They started their voyage with 5 children but 2 boys died on the voyage,David and Alexander.they ended up arriving with Jean(Jane)b.1829,my relative, John Johnston b.1832, and JamesTyrie b1833.Charles Henry b.1840 and Catherine were born here.Thereis also another sister who could be Elizabeth b.1857 but have to check this info.Catherine died 16/09/1917.Margaret McIntosh possibly died 1861/412 but this is to be confirmed. In any case Peter McIntosh married a second time as a widower in 1867/1374 to a Lucinda Scadden.Peter McIntosh died 01/09/1874 in Tamworth. Jan has sent me copies of shipping records for the McIntoshes and the family history from her line. She has been a great help by sorting out my problem with Jane McIntosh. Hope this all helps Regards Anne |
