Check the options in your printer driver. Ctrl+p should open the printer driver page. I use an old hand-me-down HP1012 laserjet printer, but the printer driver page has a Preferences button. Clicking it opens a page with multiple tabs. One of the tabs is Printing Shortcuts, which has multiple options. If I click on Everyday Printing it allows me to choose the number of pages per sheet of paper. I can choose as many as 16 pages per sheet, but I might need a microscope to read it! But 2 or 4 pages per sheet would shrink your print job considerably, and should still be readable.
My wife's cheap little HP P1009 has this same option, but you click Properties and then Finishing to find it. You may need to explore your printer driver's settings to find where it is hidden. I think it may be your best option for consolidating printing.
