Like you I found it most convenient to have all of my data in a single PAF file although the lineages are quite different because of a second marriage. After 25 years of extensive research my file size has grown to 90,400 individuals. I am approaching a point of crashing when I reach 99,999 as there would be no field to accomodate 100, 000 individuals.
I have had no problems using the large data base but since the lineages are mostly complete and so dissimilar I would like to split the file into two segments. From what I read this can be done through Advanced Focus but I am unsure how to go through the procedures.
If you could enlighten me on the correct way to accomplish this task I would appreciate it. Better to ask someone who has had experience in this matter.
