Something went wrong on Friday with my PAF5 file. I first noticed on my office computer that a parent was appearing as a child in a family. It was the end of the day though and I did (foolishly) as I usually do and backed it up on my flash drive. When I got home I copied the file to my laptop.
Then I noticed several more such problems. Finally a search of the names in file (using the binoculars icon) showed only the first few names -- about 7,350 of the 7,400 (all hand entered with notes over the last 10 years) were there.
I can see the names using the 'Family' tab. But in the individual list it stops at the first 50 names (,Anna).
The problem is that my 2 backups (my flash drive and my laptop) have the same file.
Is there a way to repair a PAF file or to restore a file to an earlier date (ie last week)?
