Yes it's quite possible to run PAF on any linux distribution using wine, I use version 0.9.22 I think, but it's a little bit of a pain, because wine requires some tweaking before it will work properly. It's better than using Windows though :-) Here is the application's page on wine's website for anyone that is interested: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=600 If you click on the "4" or "5" links there it will tell you what you need to know to get your version working. Note that a fair amount of familiarity with Linux and wine are required here. Personally I actually wish that the Church would just release the source code, because then someone is sure to port the app to run natively on Linux. I'd do it myself or even be willing to reverse engineer it and write my own compatible app if I had the time. |
