PAF has a Print-to-file option for printing reports to a Microsoft RTF "Rich Text File". So you can have PAF create pedigree charts and family group charts, descendency charts, etc. in Microsoft Word format.
To do this, use the File menu and select > Print Reports and make sure that there is a checkmark in the little square that says "Print to file". Select the report you want and the starting person, and click on Print. PAF will ask for a name for the new file, so replace the "*" with a name, but keep ".RTF" as part of the file name. Note the location given in the "Save in" box. I suggest that you save it to the Desktop. Now, when you click the Save button, PAF will create the file and (at least on my computer) open it in Microsoft Word. If it is what you want, email it to your relative.
