There are two ways to show relationships.
1) If you are person number one in your database, as you move through your database, you can see, in the status bar, what that person's relationship is to you. You set this up by:
In the middle of the box that appears, click on CHANGE in the Relationship Indicators Box.
Click search to select the ROOT Person (I have myself as person number one and am the root person). Then click on the box next to "Show relationships on status bar". That will place a checkmark in that box.
Then click OK.
When I "select" (highlight) my father in my database, I see "father" in the bottom left of my PAF screen (on the status bar).
2) To show the relationship betwen ANY TWO PEOPLE in your database, do the following:
There are three blank boxes that appear.
Click SEARCH in the FIRST PERSON box to choose your first person. If you already know the RIN, you can just type it in, or use the LIST options shown to choose.
THEN click SEARCH in the "Second Person" box and choose the second person.
THEN click the CALCULATE button and you'll see COMMON ANCESTORS listed and the relationship: example: 5C1R is fifth cousin once removed.
