1. EXPORT your files from PAF 5.2 (click on the little "floppy disk" icon in the upper left corner -- the one with the arrow going out from it). To make the resulting GEDCOM file the most compatible with Family Tree Maker, click on the "other GEDCOM 5.5" button in the Export dialogue window. Select (with check marks) what you want included (i.e., notes, sources, etc.) At the bottom of the Export dialogue window select ALL, and then click on EXPORT. You will be asked to give your new GEDCOM file a name. (and also make sure you know the path to the folder in which your new GEDCOM file will be stored)
2. IMPORT your new GEDCOM file into FTW. Open FTW and click on the pull-down FILE Menu. Click the tab to OPEN NEW FILE, select FILE TYPE GEDCOM (and browse to the location where you stored your new GEDCOM file). Give your new FTW file a name (or click OK to let it have the same name as your GEDCOM file).
3. READ the IMPORT list. If there are errors, you may have to go through & enter the missing or incorrect items manually -- but FTW is pretty forgiving, you usually don't lose much.

PS: Why would you want to do this?? I've used both PAF and FTM/FTW since they were babies (i.e., over 15 years). I like PAF MUCH better for almost all applications, but continue to use FTW as a utility program because I like its descendant chart better.
