This is a message from the International Genealogical Index (IGI for short). The notes referring to Ancestral File refer specifically to the Ancestral File (AF) database.

Sometimes, not always, the same information is available on who submitted the information to Ancestral File. You would have to go to the nearest Family History Center. Look up that person and then you can look to see name and address info of the submitter.

If you need to see specifically the information on IGI, you should look for the film number. More informatation can be found by using the help pages when you look this up on www.familysearch.org.

Pedigree Resource File (PRF) is also different from Ancestral File and users can see who submitted the information on the website. These files are generally more recent, since 1999.
