Zip the files together and email them to me at nzpafug@xtra.co.nz and I will convert them and send them back as PAF 5.2.18 files.

I have all version of DOS & WIndwos PAF loaded on the User group Computer to be able to do this.

Refer to the posting of Jerry Snead, I did this for him also and for others.

Hello!

I'm new to this forum, but feel I must share a recent experience I've had. I compiled an extensive family history over ten years ago using PAF. I stuck the info on a disk and hadn't updated it since.

I recently received a request from a family member for some info I had. I looked at my data files and couldn't figure out how to open them with the current version of PAF. I found this forum and saw a message where Clive Carpenter had generously offered to convert someones' old data files into ones usable by PAF.

I sent Clive an e-mail with my files (he is in New Zealand and I'm in the USA), and within only a few hours, he had converted them and sent them back!! They opened flawlessly and I'm back in business!!!

Clive didn't have to do this for me, a complete stranger on another continent! But he did just that and included helpful information and encouragement!

Clive is a true Gentleman and an asset to this forum!

Let me extend my sincere thanks to him and wish him all the best; he deserves it!

Thanks, Clive!
