I have 2 computers, one is a Tandy (the oldest) and the other is a custom-made I don't know what. I have almost 2000 individuals in my database on the Tandy, haven't used it for a few years. The problem started during adding information. I started getting error messages. Then I tried to do a gedcom of all information to add to the custom computer, but the PAF that I had downloaded from the net and the other wouldn't work together. Hey, wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. When I tried to do a gedcom, I started getting errors and it wanted me to insert another disk which I had never had to do before. But any way I can't do a gedcom because of the errors. I tried and tried to add to the custom computer, but as I said they wouldn't work together. I got so aggravated with the whole mess that I haven't added anymore to the darn thing and I can't seem to get started to put in more on the custom computer because now it's acting up. Any suggestions on what to do? The Tandy has been buried under genealogy papers for a few years and it may not work now, but I would like to salvage my data. Please help me, someone. Lois Carmack |
