There is an abundance of incorrect data out there in cyberspace. I am afraid we are going to have to view it all with a bit of skepticism. If it is on one of those CDs it might as well be chiseled in stone. I suggest you send the correction to your "cuzzie" and suggest that she/he change it. The original author has a much better chance of changing the data than anyone else. Without knowing which program soemone is using, it is hard to say which GEDCOM format is the best most of the time. Wouldn't it be nice if the standard would become standardized? I have been sending GEDCOMs to people using the third choice in FOW-6, "GEDCOM (*.ged)", and have had no complaints. Good Luck, Alfred
