|Subject:||How do I Delete Slashes & Commas in PAF 5.0|

Does anyone know which option/tool/trick..to use to get rid of those commas that appear in the search screen of PAF 5.0?
I use this formula when adding a new individual:
example: GRIZZLE John Andrew
When I go to the "Search Individual List," I see all those annoying little commas listed to the left of the Surnames.
It looks like this:
example: ,GRIZZLE John Andrew
When I scroll down the list, the commas are missing from the lower half of the search list and database.
This is messing up my alphabetized list and creating problems when I use MATCH-MERGE.
One half of my database has the commas before the Surname. The other half does not.
The commas do not appear on the individual edit screen, (although they are there). So, I can't edit them out.
I am working on the "GRIZZLE..Any Way You Spell It" book for publication by the end of this year.
My sister, best Friend and research partner, "Sam" KING died 19 Oct 2001.
She and I had been working on the book since Feb 1998.
[Sam would have celebrated her 53rd birthday this month. She battled cancer for 8 months].
I would like to get this database perfected(ha ha ..no such thing exists in genealogy) and ready to print out soon.
I have almost 100,000 names in this particular database.
Any help with the "comma" problem is appreciated.
I also accept wisecracks from know-it-alls.

P.S. I don't publish info on the living...I don't know-it-all.
