When your "saved" file opens in your word processor, you have to select the option in your word processor, to create the index. For example, I use MS Word 2002. The option there is found in INSERT|REFERENCE|INDEX & TABLES. Just make sure that you are on the last page of your report (if that is where you want the Index positioned) and the cursor is positioned just where you want the Index created.
