Is it possible to >merge the two files without having to re-enter one of them? Yes, but... I have some suggestions. 1: Make backups of both files. (Just in case) 2: Create GEDCOMs from both files. (Export) 3: Create a NEW file, give it any convenient name. 4: Import each of the two GEDCOMs into the new file. 5: Use Match/Merge (carefully) to eliminate duplicates who were in both original files. And you're done. P.S. I'm going in the opposite direction; splitting my one file into several. |
