Justin, you do have a strange problem. I have tried all manner of things to try to re-ceate the situation you describe without any success. This leads me to believe that it may be something to do with your Compaq. Could it be the way the screen resoulution is set on your monitor? Have you another DOS type program that you could run to see how Win2000 treats it? If you haven't another DOS program, try this one as it is similar to PAF 3. It's called City/County Finder and can be downloaded from:
(you may even find it well worth keeping, too!).
I am afraid I don't have much more I can offer, particularly not having Win2000, and also not having much faith in Compaq equipment either (my son bought one unfortunately).
